The shadows of once living things can haunt the deep places of the world and beyond. A dwarf must have the resolve to put such a spirit to rest, be it by blade or bond.

A dwarf has a long memory, especially when it comes to grudges, and they often archive personal wrongs against them on page or stone. A clan of dwarves might keep a "Book of Grudges" for ancient wrongs against their people. Each new generation is expected to seek out a reckoning and purge a grudge from the book with iron and blood.
