Galorndon System is an unusual star system located in Wild Space. Its star, Galorndon Prime, is orbited by only a single planet, a gas giant called Galorndon Core, as well as a few scattered asteroids and comets.
Galorndon Core is the center of a miniature planetary system. It has an extensive ring system, and is orbited by dozens of moons, and a large asteroid field in an eccentric orbit. Numerous comets also execute complex orbits between Galorndon Prime and Galorndon Core, occasionally crashing into Galorndon Core in a spectacular display.
Galorndon Core is itself of little interest to anyone other than a planetary scientist. Its atmosphere is composed of toxic and corrosive gases, and is filled with super-hurricanes, ion storms, and massive plasma discharges, making it virtually impenetrable to star ships. Even communications close to the planet's atmosphere are chancy.
The bodies orbiting the giant are another story. Although none of them have enough mineral content to make it worthwhile to set up permanent or large-scale mining operations, most of them do have smaller deposits, which attract wildcat miners to the system.
In addition, a number of Rakatan artifacts have been found in the asteroid belt, leading to speculation that it may be the remains of Rakatan outpost world. The erratic orbits of the asteroids, influenced by the gravity of Galorndon Prime, Galorndon Core, and various moons, make the field extremely difficult and dangerous to navigate. Still, the lure of ancient Rakatan weapons and other technologies lead many to brave the dangers.
The Galorndon System is not on any major hyperspace routes, but several minor routes do pass through it, linking it to the Felucia system, and to other systems with minor hyperspace routes to the Jabiim, Mon Calamari, and Raxus Prime systems, which are all on major hyperspace routes. This has made it a frequent way-station and hideout for smugglers, pirates, and other Galactic riff-raff. Some hide lairs on one of Galorndon Core's moons, while others make use of Galorndon Station.
The hub of the Galordon System's civilization, such as it is, is Galordon Station. The core of the station is a bulk cargo hauler which crashed into a minor moon. Over the decades, a sprawling station has been built up around this core, with pressurized tunnels honeycombing the moon, and various ships, modules, and other haphazard ad-hoc construction building outwards.
Galorndon Station has numerous docking bays, refueling stations, storage facilities, cantinas, long- and short-term residences, a bustling marketplace, and even rudimentary shipyards. One can find virtually any good or service somewhere in Galorndon Station's sprawl - for the right price.
The station has a permanent population of several hundred, while thousands of transients are present at any given time. Prospectors, archaeologists, treasure hunters, traders, smugglers, pirates, fugitives, wanderers, and others are constantly coming and going. Galorndon Station is a veritable hive of scum and villainy. And a convenient place for anyone wishing to avoid Imperial entanglements...

Genriss System is a largely unremarkable system in Wild Space, connected to a handful of minor hyperspace routes.
Genriss IV (usually referred to simply as Genriss) is a small, cold, desert planet, with a thin but breathable atmosphere. It is subject to frequent dust storms, which can reach planetary scale. More spectacularly, its atmosphere has a high ambient static electrical charge, giving rise to frequent and powerful electrical discharges, which can arc across an entire hemisphere.
Geologically, it is notable for large crystal formations, many of which extend miles beneath the planets surface. Some of these formations are commercially valuable, but the harsh conditions have limited mining operations. The last mine was closed down a century ago after being "played out".
Some rare forms of genrite crystals can be incorporated into lightsabers as focus crystals. A lightsaber with a genrite focus crystal causes temporary muscle contractions in living targets with a raise on the attack roll; the target has to make Vigor roll or be at -2 to Parry until his next action. Against droids (or vehicles and equipment with electronic components), a hit with a raise inflicts an extra d12 damage instead of an extra d6.
Few if any out-worlders can be found on Genriss, and the planet no longer has a functioning spaceport. There is a single, now defunct, spaceport attached to the (also now defunct) main mining and administration complex.
Almost all of Genriss' native lifeforms are burrowing creatures, ranging from tiny and harmless sandmites to the massive vitrivore, a segmented vermiform insectile creature that feeds on genrite crystals and can generate massive electrical discharges.
The Gen are an intelligent humanoid species native to Genriss. Little is known of them, as they largely shunned contact with the off-world miners, and with the Galaxy at large. They share many cultural traits and a similar appearance with the Tusken Raiders of Tatooine, and may be an off-shoot of that race. Like the Tusken Raiders, they are apparently implacably hostile to off-worlders, and their few known contacts with off-world miners were violent.

Brentaal System is a minor Wild Space system. It is notable only for its location on several hyperspace routes. It is linked by a minor hyperspace route to the Felucia system, and by minor hyperspace routes to systems which in turn are linked by minor hyperspace routes to the Jabiim, Mon Calamari, and Raxus Prime systems, which are all on major hyperspace routes. With the Interdiction of the Felucia system, Brentaal has become the major hub system in the Felucia Sector, and has recently been added to the expanding Dark Empire of the Sith.
The only significant location in the system is Sel Zonn Station, an orbital station which serves as a waypoint for travelers transiting through the system. It has docking bays, storage bays, and a Promenade with numerous businesses catering to travelers. The docking bays, Promenade, and other core areas of the station are well maintained, but large areas of the station, particularly deep storage and other peripheral areas, are badly run down.
CAMPAIGN NOTE There is no direct hyperspace route between Galorndon System and Genriss System. The party will have to transit through Brentaal System to reach Genriss System. It is also the only significant spaceport between the two systems.
