MAJOR AREAS, EVENTS, AND ENTITIES
The Awakening: Great treants in the Oldenwood are beginning to awaken after centuries of slumber. No one knows what their view of the world will be.
The Leviathan: Melora’s Waters are the icy cold lair of a blizzard dragon known as the Leviathan. It has only been seen on a handful of occasions that have left any survivors.
The Underdark: The Great Baros Peaks contain an entrance to the Underdark and raiding parties of drow and duergar have been encountered with increasing regularity.
Titan’s Peak: High in the Great Baros Peaks is Titan’s Peak – home of a great frost giant jarl and his ice fortress.
The Great Gathering: Every century, the remaining dragons in the kingdom converge on a single location and discuss territorial claims and potential areas of neutrality and non-aggression. The Gathering is rumored to only allow the chromatic dragons – the descendants of Tiamat herself, attend. Each chromatic bloodline has one representative that is allowed to speak at the Gathering while an Aspect of Tiamat mediates. Records indicate that the known representatives are as follows:
Cypher: This elder green dragon lives in Cypher’s Wood and has a growing force of kobolds loyal to her schemes. What she lacks in size and age she more than makes up for in cunning and greed.
Durtaxis the Red: This colossal wyrm lives somewhere far to the south of the kingdom. He has only been seen in the skies on two occasions over the last century – once when he battled the Golden Griffriders of the Windtorn Hills and once when he attended the last Great Gathering that was somewhere in the Great Baros Peaks. He is ancient by most standards but is a force of nature capable of destroying the entire region if he chose to.
Andronicus: This gargantuan blue dragon lives somewhere beyond Melora’s Waters. He has only been seen on a few occasions but has been known to land on the Tooth from time to time.
Glacier: Glacier, a gargantuan white dragon, lives somewhere in the Great Baros Peaks and is rumored to be in alliance with the frost giant jarl that lives in the Ice Fortress. Glacier is said to gain his power by consuming Blue-Gray Gemstones and covets them above all other treasures.
Mystakkattallon: This wicked gargantuan black dragon lives in the Oldenwood and has a swampy lair somewhere within its borders. His kobold and goblin tribes are known to be fanatical collectors of Black Gemstones.
