GALAXY AT WAR
*NEW EDGES*
Baran Do Tradition
Requirements: Novice, Force Sensitive
Originally developed by the Kel Dor before their contact with the Jedi, Baran Do is a complementary but less militant Force tradition. Treat a Baran Do Sage as a Force Adept. A Baran Do Sage may Force attune a staff or his unarmed strikes (see New Rules).
Master of Teräs Käsi
Requirements: Novice, Martial Arts, Spirit d8+, Fighting d10+, Knowledge (the Force) d4+
Teräs Käsi, or "steel hand", is an unarmed combat discipline created by the Followers of Palawa solely to defeat Jedi. It relies on knowledge of the Force, but does not require the practitioner to be Force Sensitive. If a Master of Teräs Käsi does not move during a round, he may use the famous Steel Hand Strike. With a successful unarmed attack he adds +d6 to his Strength roll for damage and gains AP 2. He also gains +2 to all Spirit and Smarts rolls to resist Force powers with the Mind-Affecting descriptor. A Master of Teräs Käsi may ignore the Rank Requirement for the Improved Martial Artist and Martial Arts Master Edges (although he may only take the latter once per Rank before reaching Legendary Rank).
Staff Mastery
Requirements: Novice, Fighting d8+
When using an electrostaff, an ordinary staff, or a similar weapon, a character with this Edge treats it as a double weapon, and can attack with both ends as if he had the Two-Fisted Edge. He can also choose to treat it as having Reach +1 instead of being a double weapon.
Steady Nerves
Requirement: Seasoned, Smarts d8+, d6+ in affected Traits
A hero with this Edge is at his best when the stakes are the highest. Pick two Traits. A hero with Steady Nerves does not suffer the standard -2 penalty when performing Dramatic Tasks with that Trait. He still suffers normal penalties for Complications. A character may select this Edge any number of times, picking a different pair of Traits each time.
