Latest update on The House That Would Not Be Sold:
I think I've finally sold it. It's been a long and tortuous saga, but it may (fingers crossed) now be over. The house still has to pass a well and septic system inspection. To add to the stakes, if it fails, the county could condemn it as uninhabitable. Yay!
But if all goes well (knock on wood), I'll close on May 3rd, and be moving within a couple of weeks after. So, I'll be looking for help either May 5-6 or May 12-13. The good news is that I'm leaving the washer & dryer and the living room and dining room sets with the house. I can move the small stuff on my own. I'm really just looking for help to move my bedroom set, TV, and bookcases. Lots of bookcases. 18 bookcases. Probably up a couple of stories. Maybe three. But, I'll buy Gatorade and bottle water, and buy lunch for anyone who helps.
There's still a possibility that the deal will fall through, and I still don't have an apartment (kind of hard to find a place when I'm not sure exactly when I need to move and when I will have the money to do so), so the dates above are not quite solid yet.

Congratulations...assuming all goes well. Provided I'm not out of town I'm in to help move. Let me know the dates when you do.

Unless yet something else jumps up to scuttle the deal (fingers crossed and knocking on wood for well and septic inspection), I'll be moving on May 5 to a 3rd floor apartment at Colonial Grand (814 St. Andrew's Drive, off of 17th Street Extension, near the intersection with College).
