THE OUTSIDER
The Outsider was a founding member of the Argonauts, and is generally considered, along with the Atomic Man and Captain Wonder, to have been one of the most powerful beings in history. Little is known of him outside of his activities as a member of the Argonauts, but scattered and sketchy reports, rumors, and urban legends indicated that he, or someone using the name, has been intermittently active for centuries, supposedly combating mystical threats to reality. The Outsider himself claimed to be a mage, and he had a wide array of Alpha-class abilities which seemed to be consistent with “spell-casting.” He disappeared following the Fall, but, again, sketchy reports, rumors, and urban legends indicate that he has been intermittently active since then, although the current Internet consensus seems to be that the original Outsider (or at least the Outsider who was a member of the Argonauts) has ascended to a higher plane of reality, and a new, far less powerful Outsider, is now active, mainly offering cryptic warnings and advice to other super heroes.

OVERLORD
A significant global power in his own right, Overlord by himself may well be more dangerous than any organization listed here. The heir to a Greek shipping fortune, obsessed with the idea that he was the descendant of refugees fleeing the destruction of Atlantis, Aleksander Konstantine was widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost physicists, engineers, and inventors, as well as an authority on Classical and Pre-Classical Greek civilization. After disappearing on a self-funded research mission to the Antarctic in search of Atlantis, the newly self-proclaimed Overlord returned with cybernetic armor, a vast store of hypertechnology, the ability to manipulate all known forms of energy, and an ego the size of the frozen continent. Operating from the so-called “New Atlantis” hidden somewhere in the Antarctic interior, Overlord has launched numerous schemes to restore the Atlantean Empire to its supposed former glory and to make himself ruler of the world. Although none of his schemes have, to date, succeeded, he has never been decisively defeated, either. His energy manipulating powers alone make him one of the most powerful beings on the planet, but in addition to that he is also possibly the smartest man alive (his only rival for that title is the retired hero, Dr. Challenger), and has access to enormous hypertechnological resources. Combined, his powers, intellect, and resources elevate him to an Omega-class threat, making him the most dangerous man alive.
