I read over the rules after the game last night, and there are a couple of bits where I didn't quite read or remember them correctly, but I don't think it was anything game-breaking.
1. The SICKENED status is basically the only status in the game that "stacks". If you are SICKENED and would gain the SICKENED status again, you instead gain an Infection token (and remain SICKENED). If you ever gain 4 Infection tokens, you discard them, remove the SICKENED status, and reduce your Max Vita by 1 permanently. If you are immune to Infection, the standard rules for statuses apply - a second instance of a status has no effect if you already have that status.
2. Creatures' Special Powers are always active.
3. SNARE Damage is a special case of Damage. ABSORPTION does not reduce SNARE Damage unless the source of the ABSORPTION specifically states otherwise. So, the World Card that was in play last Chapter should not have shielded us from SNARE Damage. (For my character, at least, I think this balanced out since I also forgot to apply it a couple of times when I should have).
3. Not an error, but a sort of errata. I have an expansion with Heirloom Items that I meant to use and then forgot about. Each character gets to draw a special Item from the Heirloom deck if we use that expansion. I think we should each draw one next session.

4. When you roll damage for a two-handed weapon, you roll twice and take the best of the two damage rolls. I think I actually did remember to go over this when we were setting up, but I didn't think about it later. I think only Jeremy's Witch Hunter actually starts with a two-handed weapon - his crossbow should get the best of two damage rolls. I don't think he was doing this last night.
5. A character's Damage Bonus only applies to attacks with their primary weapon. It does NOT apply to Abilities, off-hand attacks, or other damage, unless something specifies otherwise. Again, I'm pretty sure I actually did cover this during set up, but I didn't think about it later. I don't know if anyone was actually adding their Damage Bonus when they shouldn't have.
