I'm not going to try to stat out every single playable race in the Star Wars Universe for a 4-week mini-campaign. That way lies madness. In general, Savage Worlds allows for pretty simple race/species creation, but I also want to save time at the table and not have to generate species at character creation. So, if you would post the species you want to play below as follows:
Species Name What you think of as the Species main strengths What you think of as the Species main weaknesses
I'll translate that into a species using the Savage Worlds rules. If you're already comfortable with creating stuff in Savage Worlds (cough-Dave-cough) feel free to post your approach to creating said species as well. The idea here is to get you playing a species that is not only what you want to play but also fits into your idea of what that species is.

Twi'lek Quick and Attractive Slave Race
Becomes
Twi'lek Gain Charismatic starting edge Begin at Agility d6 Reduced Core Skill (No free d4 in Fighting) Frail (-1 Toughness)
OR
Wookie Tough and Strong Big and hard to understand
Becomes
Wookie Size +1 Begin at d6 Strength Toughness +1 Reach +1 Big (Negative Racial Ability) Cannot Speak
