Oh, and in general, I think all the concepts you posted sound fun. I don't remember the Dathomir witch stuff very well, so if you go that route, you'll have to give me a refresher course on what is cannon these days.

Possible character idea:
WINTER
Winter is an avuncular, elderly human male, who loves tinkering with engines, droids, and machinery of all kinds. He tends to be unobtrusive, and is often dismissed as a harmless putterer. And, most of the time, he is. But he wasn't always.
Decades ago, the man now know as "Winter" was one of the most wanted criminals in the Old Republic, a blaster-slinger and assassin named Win Trago. He would work for anyone who paid, and just about everyone did, at one point or another. However, that also meant that he crossed just about everyone. He's worked for and against the Black Sun, the Crimson Dawn, the Crymorah Syndicate, the Pike Syndicate, just about every Hutt Clan, and quite a few corrupt Republic officials. And they've all put a price on his head. There's nowhere in the Galaxy that Win Trago can safely show his face. But, old Winter, everyone's favorite genial mechanic? No one's looking to kill him...
Attributes: Agility d8-1, Smarts d8, Spirit d6, Strength d4-1, Vigor d4-1 Skills: Athletics d6, Common Knowledge d6, Fighting d6, Notice d6, Persuasion d6, Pilot (Planetary) d4, Stealth d6, Electronics d6, Repair d8+2, Shooting d12, Slicing d4 Pace: 5; Parry: 5; Toughness: 4 Hindrances: Elderly, Secret Edges: Mr. Fix-It, Steady Hands
So...I got the penalty to Trait rolls for Elderly exactly backwards (I've been doing this in the Star Wars 4-Shot as well...). It's -1 to Agility, Strength and Vigor rolls, but not to the associated skills.
I don't think I can get the point allotment to work out the way I want it to and still have a viable character (the -1 to Vigor rolls, which means -1 to Soak, makes this build pretty much unplayable).

Yuzzem- Awkward: Yuzzems' size and bulk make it more difficult for them to avoid attacks and other physical dangers. They have a -1 penalty to Agility rolls (but not to associated skills) and a -1 penalty to Parry. Attribute Penalty -1/-1 Point and Poor Parry -1 Point
- Big: Yuzzems are one of the largest sapient races in the Galaxly, average 2.5 meters tall and proportionately broader than a human. They are Size +2 and gain +2 Toughness. They also cannot wear most common armor or clothing, have trouble fitting into standard seating, and eat twice as much as most sapients. Size +2/2 Points and Big/-2 Points
- Natural Weapons: Yuzzems have tusks and claws that can be used to attack foes for Str+d4 damage, and give them a +2 bonus to Athletics rolls to climb. Bite/1 Point and Claws 1 Point
- Outsiders: Yuzzems are often considered to be barely sapient, are officially a slave race in the Empire, and have a reputation as short-tempered brutes. They suffer a -2 penalty to Persuasion rolls with most other races and have limited legal rights in the Empire and even in some non-Imperial systems. Hindrance: Outsider (Minor)/-1
- Slow: Yuzzems are primarily arboreal and aren't particularly swift runners. They have a Pace of 5 and only roll a d4 Running die instead of a d6. Reduced Pace/-1 Point
- Strong: Yuzzems are one of the strongest sapient races in the Galaxy. They begin with a d8 in Strength instead of a d4, and can have a Strength of up to d12+2. Attribute Increase +2/4 Points

Dug
Dug is a Yuzzem tech specialist. Unlike the stereotypical Yuzzem, Dug is laid-back, easy-going, and loves tinkering with machines. However, the Empire officially considers Yuzzems to be a slave race and uses them for brute manual labor, and even in the Fringe, it's hard for a Yuzzem to get work as a tech specialist. So, Dug signed up with whatever crew would take him, and is just trying to get by working in the Fringe. Still, if he had a chance to strike a blow against the Empire that enslaved his people...
Attributes: Agility d6-1, Smarts d8, Spirit d6, Strength d10, Vigor d6 Skills: Athletics d4, Common Knowledge d6, Fighting d4, Notice d4, Persuasion d4-2, Pilot (Planetary) d4, Stealth d4, Electronics d8, Repair d8+2, Shooting d6, Slicing d8 Pace: 5; Parry: 3; Toughness: 7 Hindrances: Curious (Major), Loyal (Minor), Quirk (laid-back tech nerd) (Minor) Edges: Mr. Fix-It

Dax Varik - Human male in his mid 30s. Armed with his trusty blaster and a disarming smile, Daxx has floated from crew to crew doing various jobs to keep credits in his pocket. He is always looking for the next score and believes the "big one" is just around the corner. Life has a funny way of derailing those plans though. Dax learned that the hard way. Let's just say when you are double crossed by an Imperial officer on a sweet deal that leaves you high and dry, it does not leave a lot of options on the table. It's not like Dax had someone who he could report the matter to. He hates dealing with the Empire but understands that it is a necessity in these trying times. Who knows, maybe he can settle the score one day.
I will stat him out later when I have the book in front of me. Nothing too specialized. He will probably take the Charismatic Edge.
