When last we left our brave adventurers they had found their small village of Potter's Creek as a dowry given to the noble house Arcturas (?). They found a way to make the family ignore the claim to the town if the brave adventuring group could find a way to open trade negotiations between the Phoenix Court and house as well as the Dwarven village of K-ville. We talked with the Phoenix Court and they complied. The dwarves said they would comply if we helped them find out what happened to a Dwarven stronghold named Frostsilver. We said we would and we then split the group into two. One group went to Aes Garathon to tell the Matriarch of house Arcturas what we had accomplished. The second group went to the moathouse to resupply.
Before we departed Mag Ironthewes asked if we would allow his son to accompany us on our upcoming adventure. We complied and set out towards the dwarven settlement. After weeks of travel we ended up finding our way only to find that there were some goblinoid footprints outside. We were then jumped by some goblins but we readily dispatched of them. We then opened a couple of doors to find more goblins....we killed them. There was a final goblin that Max grabbed by the ear, after disarming him, and let him out. This act was met by our new friend's action of slaying the goblin as he fled. We then went into a hallway with a rather large chasm. Max and our friend Quasen were able to go over the chasm with ease and found a door only to find 4 bugbears. We killed them easily. In that room was a large pyramid of Dwarven bones. We found out what had been happening to the dwarf warparties. We continued to explore as it would not hurt us to do so. Mattias grabbed a rock and tossed it down the chasm to see how far down it went (BAD IDEA!). They entered the next room to find more bugbears to meet their fate quickly. They then went into the chapel to find that the dwarven place of worship was now a place of praise to Loth. There were a few drow warriors and rogues, as well as an archer and their leader, the princess from the Phoenix Court. As Phillip moves into the room and attempts to smite one of the evil creatures, he comes to a grave realization...he fails to cast smite and realizes that all his attempts to detect evil have been in vain due to his being severed from his paladin abilities. The group then kills the remaining drow, and the princess.
Flanking the group emerges a horrible monstrosity, a Chaos Beast. It gives moderate challenge to the group and causes the expenditure of several fate chips, but all is well as the group soon dispatches of him as well. They then go back and gather the princess's body and belongings in order to return it to the family in the Phoenix Court.
The Adventurers go to the dwarven kingdom to be heralded as heroes. They then meet up with Felotial (the elven captain) to return the body. She informs the group that there is a more pressing matter, an orc horde is marching from their lands in the north and there is nothing that will stop their destruction.
DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!
