I'm planning on being ready to run an actual session on Friday. I don't think we'll need a full "session 0" to establish everything, though we can certainly take as much time as needed to create or finalize characters. I do want to spend at least a little bit of time establishing how the party members know each other and how they feel about one another. To that end, I'm toying with either:
1. The "phase trio" from Fate, where you basically write yourselves into each other's back stories or 2. Something similar to "bonds" from Dungeon World where you write a brief statement about how your character feels about each other party member or 3. Coming up with a shared story on how you met without bothering with something more in depth like 1 or 2.
The idea is to have some bonds that hold the party together, but have them be in the backstory so that we can get on with play. I'm open to other methods beyond those described above if anyone has a method they really like or want to try.
As incentive, once we have this figured out, it will come with a bonus Hero Point (so, start the session with 1 and the first "earned" Hero Point will come from establishing the party bonds).
