Character Creation Guidelines:
I'm going to be using the standard SWADE rules with the following tweaks.
SETTING RULES: Fanatics, Fast Healing, Multiple Languages, and Unarmored Hero.
RANK: Characters are Veterans with 8 Advances. The 8th (Veteran) Advance must be Giant Killer.
RACES: Android is not available. Aquarian is possible, but not really viable due their Dependency. Avion, Dwarves, Elves, Half-Elves, Half-Folk, Humans, Rakashans, and Saurians are all ok. Making Races is out.
HINDRANCES: Doubting Thomas doesn't really make sense for the setting. As a dungeon crawl adventure, "social" Hindrances such as Enemy, Obiligation, Outsider, Poverty, Ruthless, Secret, Shamed, and Wanted aren't really applicable.
SKILLS: Electronics, Hacking, and Piloting are not available in the pseudo-medieval setting. The Languages Skill exists, but is made largely redundant by the Multiple Languages Setting Rule. Boating and Driving (teamster) exist, but aren't likely to come up much.
EDGES: The following Edges don't really fit into a dungeon fantasy campaign: (Background) Aristocrat, Fame, Famous, Rich, Filthy Rich, (Combat) Double Tap, Two-Gun Kid, (Social) Connections, Streetwise. For the purposes of this campaign, Rapid Fire and Improved Rapid Fire can be applied to bows, but not crossbows or thrown weapons, and Rock And Roll! applies to bows used with those two Edges.
GEAR: As Veteran heroes, characters can start with any reasonable amount of gear, armor, and weapons, under the following restrictions.
Encumbrance: We are using the Encumbrance rules. Don't get overloaded! Also see the Brawny and Soldier Edges...
Common Gear: The following items are not available: (Adventuring Gear)Camera (any), Flashlight, Lighter, (Computers & Electronics) any items, (Firearms Accessories) any items, (Personal Defense) any items, (Surveillance) any items.
Ammo: Arrows/Bolts and Sling stones are the only Ammo types available.
Armor: Medieval & Ancient Armor and Shields (Ancient & Medieval) only.
Personal Weapons: Melee Weapons (Medieval) and Ranged Weapons (Medieval) only.
Modern Firearms; Special Weapons; Vehicles: None of this stuff.
