We're going to be doing a bit of a time jump, mostly because I want to set the next adventure in a slightly different part of the world. The world of the Lost Lands is stupid big, and the area (though still in the same region of the continent) is about 2,500 miles away. So, you know, something like 2.5 months of travel. The working plan is that you have been serving as caravan guards for that time, traveling from place to place, perhaps getting into the kind of trouble that doesn't result in any leveling up. You've had downtime sufficient to affix the runes to your weapons and copy over any scrolls to your spellbook (for Lyrie) but beyond that, the work has kept you busy enough to preclude much else. It's been boring, but kept your bellies full and your purses undiminished with such trivial things as lifestyle expenses.
That work has now come to an end. At the city of Nyham Chae, Lyrie heard a rumor of lost bastions of knowledge and ancient ruins in the Rampart Mountains. That combined with the rote nature of caravan duty was enough to set your feet on the path of adventure once more. Which is how you've found yourselves in the town of Kingsholm, a moderate large village (population around 1,500) nestled in the hills between the Shadrack Forest and the Rampart Mountains, trying to figure out your next move. You are seated at your table in one of the few Inns in town, an establishment by the name "The Coronet and Cabbage" when the story will begin to unfold...
