Please have your background sheets for me on Wed so I can start meshing your stories and concepts in with the Mod. ;D This week we begin "The Scepter Tower of Spellgard!" The main premise behind this adventure is that their is rumored to be a spirit within the tower that is an oracle of flawless ability! In the last 40 years, all questions that have been asked of her have been answered accurately! The problem is...finding her in the ancient, sinister tower. Try and have some motive in mind for seeking out such a spirit so that when and if the time comes to ask your question, you will know what to ask. Also gives me a bit of heads up too when replying through the oracle! *** I will be adding quest cards to help organize the campaigns missions and help the players keep in touch with what is being thrown at them. The Quest Cards will have the overall goal, important NPCs and a place to jot notes.

I have a question about the 10 minute background. It says to put in a secret about your character that he doesn't know. How is that possible? If you are playing your character, and you created said character's background, how can you possibly be suprised or taken aback when secret comes into play?

It is a secret ABOUT your character that you as a player knows and the DM knows but your character isn't aware of. An example would be that he carries a family curse that he doesn't know of yet or that he has earned the ire of a nemesis (someone he wronged in the past) and doesn't know the extent of his new enemies anger. ect. It makes for good RPing all and all and gives your character some depth. If you are having trouble I'd be happy to help you come up with some ideas.
