Here is a list of important characters that I'd like to have my character (and the Defenders if it works in to the plot) interact with.
Tabatha Winters- Deacon Salvatore's personal secretary. The woman has a mind for organization and planning and is brilliant at Public Relations- she has her suspicions of Deacon's Super Heroic persona, but has the good graces not to bring the subject up.
Dr. Andrew Caedmon- One of the few people who know of Salvatore's alter ego, Dr. Caedmon works alongside of Deacon and his inhuman gift of creation to craft new breakthroughs in medical science. The combination of Caedmon's guidance and Deacon's powers have put Salvacore on the map as the leader in the Pharmaceutical Industry as well as a pioneer in medical research and development.
Charity Salvatore- Deacon's daughter, an only child, Charity loves the perks of being 15 and insanely rich. A celebrity by birthright alone, Charity allows the media to see her as the spoiled Heiress to the Salvatore Empire- but in her heart, Charity would truly like to live up to her namesake and make the world a better place much like her Grandparents had. She believes her father to be a frightened, broken man who would rather go to grand social events and operas then try and make a difference. She has no clue that he is, in fact, the super hero Vulcan.
Uwa Mandara- The African militant leader who is responsible for the deaths of Deacon's parents, the guerrilla rebel was spared by Vulcan (in an effort to end the violence and not seek revenge, but justice) before Silence could end his life with his deadly pistols. The two heros turned Mandara over to the authorities instead and dismantled his small army and emcampment. However, rumor holds it that Uwa has escaped his imprisonment though no one has seen or heard from him in many years...
Concerning Bruce Wayne After thinking on it, it is very likely that Batman would have taken an interest in Deacon. Not only does Wayne have a relentless empathy when it comes to young men losing their parents to criminal violence- Salvatore's presence in the buisiness world also creates the perfect opportunity for Bruce to get to know Deacon on a social level without getting the cape and cowl involved at first. Being the world's best detective, it wouldn't take Batman too much work to piece together the "Vulcan theme" in relation to the crippled philanthropist.
Perhaps it is because of this that Batman approaches Vulcan to design and build the Watchtower and join the JLA originally- to find perhaps a kindred allie..OR to simply keep an eye on a man so broken by his past that he may one day use his powers for evil and not for justice...
I'd like to say that Deacon and Bruce are good acquaintances and have met several times at social events. Where as Bruce is outgoing and confident out in public and dark and brooding as Batman- Deacon is almost the opposite. In his wheelchair he is mild mannered, soft spoken and philisophical. In his power armor his true boldness emerges as a champion for good. In their super hero guises, Batman and Vulcan have worked together several times and although the Dark Knight did so in the most subtle and unseen of ways- he would have taken Vulcan "under his wing" from time to time to guide him.
As it stands, considering the Hypertech Apokolips Tank that came bursting from LA's Wayne Tech building, Vulcan thinks Bruce Wayne might have something sinister to do with all of this and plans on meeting with him to find out what he can.
I will be spending a chip next session to make all this a reality. Just my thoughts and desires for story and plot purposes.
