Dave,
First off, I like it. The setting is awesome and happens to be a running joke I have going with manrilla (he owes me a donut if this actually happens).
Question though: As in all scifi things whenever people can sense their "kind", there always happens to be that person or small band that can somehow get past that. Is this something that will be allowed? And also, does each person give off a unique signature or is it more of a "you sense 4 chimeras near you" kind of thing? Is it possible to have a power or an augmentation wherein you sense certain people with the acknowledgment that you have to have sensed/seen/had some interaction with previously.
Also, are the PL ranges that the origins being given related to setting? For example, would we play a "chimera" game, and with that being established, we know that we're in a PL 8 - 12 game? I like that there is overlap with them and the millennials, but it seems like Millennials are just better/stronger/oh yeah and better. I ask this question mostly in ignorance, as I can't remember how changing PL happens in the system (if you're going by the DCU setting) or maybe you're going by something entirely new.
I know you've just started applying your ideas to the boards, and I don't want to dissect anything prematurely. I'm ready to play some superheros, so when I saw this pop up, I jumped on it. I'll reiterate what I began with, I like it!

As in all scifi things whenever people can sense their "kind", there always happens to be that person or small band that can somehow get past that. Is this something that will be allowed? Not as far as anyone in-universe knows. There are a couple of background characters who don't register as any kind of super yet seem to have inexplicable abilities - I want this to be a major mystery of the setting, not a simple case of "Oh, he just has the Non-Detection Power." Supers use the Mental Detect feature of the Senses power - this defaults to a non-acute, non-targeting, non-discriminating sense, so it's more of "I sense at least one Chimera nearby." However, using the rules, an individual character could certainly have an acute, discriminating version by paying the additional point cost [sorry, I'm writing this at work, so I don't have the book, so I don't think I'm using the exact technical rules terms, but I hope you get the idea]. Millennials are, on average, more powerful than Chimeras. (BTW, I will in the near future write up Indigos, Supernaturals, and NEXTGens). I'm still not sure exactly how that will work in a campaign. If everyone is PL10, it's just background information. I do like the idea, though, of a group of mixed PLs (typical of most super-team lineups). I'm working on some ideas, but I'm still not sure how to balance it out. In any event, I'm intending the campaign for a group of mixed origins, so everyone can play the character type they want to, if not necessarily the PL they want.
