I like investigating the orb of night idea, but it also depends on how long it will take to get it, and how long we have until the horde gets to potter's creek. The only other thing of note is that should this thing possibly shroud us from them, we still cant, in good faith, let the orc horde endanger others. We have to find a way to stop them.

Maybe we divide our assets.
Send Gay-len (as our lead researcher) and one other party member into the library of Telos to investigate other possible artifact options. The main group can stay closer to home and watch the orcs progress and the more local artifact.

ya know, we could just send gay-len to try to reason with the orc horde. If nothing else, it'd be funny.

Psuedo-Phillip suggests sending someone to the magus. The discipline, organization and durability of the warforged will act as a force multiplier against the unorganized horde. Secondly, this will allow us to decide how much of a threat he really is and gauge his strength. It's hard to fight an army with anything other than another army, colossal dragon, or a few epic characters. Just my two cents.
